- The path back to a strong body connection -

My Mission

Most people live in a chronic stress state, where fear, lack, stress, and illness are strongly present. Do you recognize yourself in this?

My mission is to help you move out of chronic stress towards a strong body connection that allows you to live in flourishing instead of stress. I will help you find all the hidden resources, tools, and potential that lie within you—in your nervous system and your body.

I have spent years studying people and the human mind and body connection. I hold a Master's degree in Political Science, specializing in Social Psychology and Psychology. This educational background has given me a deep understanding of the mind’s structures, patterns, and functions. Additionally, I have spent years studying somatic healing methods, somatics, and the nervous system under the guidance of top instructors in Helsinki, alongside extensive work with clients in my practice. In August 2024, I also graduated as a certified massage therapist. My strength lies in helping align the body and mind so we can reach our highest potential.

Of course, I have also walked the path myself, from chronic stress to flourishing, transforming significant challenges into deep happiness and abundance. Are you ready for change too?

Somatic treatment

Somatic treatment focuses on restoring balance between the body and mind. It aims to identify and correct postural imbalances and release muscle tension, which may result from stress or previous injuries. The therapy helps balance the autonomic nervous system, which controls the body's stress responses and recovery.

When your nervous system is balanced, your body can function more efficiently and flexibly, activating your self-healing resources and reducing stress. This allows you to have more energy and resources to focus on well-being and the challenges of daily life. Somatic treatment can thus support long-term physical and mental health.

The therapy form is based on the idea that the human body should be aligned, open, and receptive for energy to flow in an optimal way. When energy flows as it should, the body remains open, and a person stays healthy and happy.

The natural flow of the body can be blocked by difficult emotions, chronic stress, the state of the nervous system, traumatic events, mental challenges, inactivity, hereditary postural imbalances, excessive physical strain, as well as various aches, pains, and inflammatory conditions. When the body's flow is obstructed, the nervous system enters a state of stress and imbalance, which can also disturb hormone function and other important bodily systems. By releasing tension and blockages in the body and calming and balancing the nervous system, the body starts to open, cleanse, and heal itself. As a result, the body becomes balanced, softens, and begins to function as it is meant to.

During the treatment, I will touch and gently move your body at various points to allow the accumulated energy to flow. The therapy is a holistic physical treatment that aims to impact different layers and systems of the body, such as muscles, fascia, the lymphatic system, and hormone function, among others. The primary goal of the treatment is to reduce the body's chronic stress and return the nervous system to a parasympathetic state, where healing, renewal, rest, and recovery take place. The therapy can also help uncover and release limiting beliefs, identities, and harmful patterns, as well as create new, supportive neural connections. A person can recreate themselves once they find the right tools to do so.

  • Hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism and hormonal challenges such as painful and irregular menstruation

Woman, 31.

“I have been visiting Christel for a few months now, seeking support during life’s transitions. I suffered from depression and anxiety for a long time, and I can honestly say that I would have greatly benefited from this kind of honest conversation-based help earlier. I went through psychotherapy for several years, but it feels like it didn’t provide me with the same tools Christel has already given me in such a short time. Christel’s encouraging straightforwardness and professionalism force you to look in the mirror and face your painful spots, while offering new perspectives through positivity. This allows you to realize the right solution for yourself. She does all of this with empathetic and uplifting energy, always taking into account the client’s needs in the moment. After our sessions, I always feel hopeful and with a new ability to look ahead, something I have never experienced before. I wish there were more helpers like her!

I recommend Christel to anyone who wants to develop themselves in any way, no matter what problem you may be facing in life :)”

“Christel’s body therapy is truly impactful—the treatment takes place through the body, but it really touched my being all the way to my soul. Christel is an amazing therapist and, above all, an incredible healer. It’s easy to relax in her presence; she is sensitive and knows how to respect the client’s own sensitivity. The treatment felt very gentle yet incredibly powerful at the same time—I can't recommend her enough! The best mind-body-heart healer I’ve ever seen!”

Spiritual therapy and coaching

The purpose of spiritual therapy is to create a safe space for you, where you can reconnect with yourself, talk about difficult issues, and face parts of yourself that you haven’t encountered before. In my practice, various things will rise to your awareness so that they can be processed. I use different methods, exercises, and homework to expand your awareness, such as breathing exercises, somatic exercises, guided meditations, mindfulness exercises, and nervous system-regulating practices.

As a therapist, I am empowering, encouraging, and practical. My approach is solution-focused, which is why I also aim to provide you with tools that you can use in your everyday life. My job is to give you clarity, direction, and tools so that you can heal yourself.

The therapy process always begins with an initial assessment. During this session, we will discuss your needs and desires, and based on that, we will create a personalized plan for the future. I offer therapy sessions both in my office and via Zoom.

I recommend committing to a few sessions to achieve the best results and to begin to see how your life starts to transform holistically. You can also combine different treatments and therapy to create a diverse, effective, and powerful change, along with the necessary support and security throughout the entire process.

In my practice, I work with individuals on various themes. Often, the focus is on themes such as: relationship challenges, spiritual growth, nervous system regulation and balancing, chronic stress management and reduction, difficulties with recovery, anxiety, depressive symptoms, burnout, finding one's own resources, and more.

I have worked with hundreds of people around the world, helping them create a more stress-free, enjoyable, and meaningful life and daily routine. Are you ready to change your life?

I work with clients on topics such as:

  • Finding and releasing their inner strength and potential

  • Creating and strengthening body connection

What do clients say about me?

About me

Through this, I discovered somatic treatments, which finally allowed me to get out of the corners of my mind and work directly with my body. My pain was finally able to surface and begin to release. For the first time in a long while, I started feeling better, learning to manage my inner state, and truly enjoying life. Now I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. To heal and help others find what I had found! I feel that burnout was the greatest gift I could have received. It gave me the opportunity to peek inside myself and start rebuilding myself, piece by piece. This time, I built a version of myself where I feel good. A version in which I love to be. Now, I want to help you do the same.

My body screamed for me to stop and stopped functioning due to burnout. For years, I had been operating beyond my capacity, pushing, performing, and forcing my body to keep going, without breaks, rest, or proper recovery. To be honest, I didn’t even know what recovery was or how to do it. I was mentally and physically burnt out. My gut was in tatters, my hormones were out of balance, sleep was lost, hypothyroidism was diagnosed, and anxiety and depression were more or less my daily state of being. I lived in a constant cycle of fear, anxiety, and depression. Only when I couldn’t get out of bed anymore and, as a result, couldn’t keep performing my life, did I realize that something had to change. I had to start respecting myself, my body, and explore my innermost self. Why did I feel such a strong need to perform, push, and constantly be in motion?

It didn’t take long for the change to take over me, and I realized that I had tied my self-worth to my actions. I had also inherited from my parents and society the inability to recognize and regulate my own emotions, thoughts, and nervous system, which ultimately led to complete burnout. My body was also full of unresolved and unaddressed emotions that I had been running away from for years with constant doing and performing. Now, when my body could no longer carry me, I had to face everything I had been trying to escape from. That’s where my journey to healing began.

As part of my recovery, I explored a variety of healing methods. I was determined to heal, no matter the path I had to take. I spent many years in psychotherapy, talking through my inner pain. It helped me name my emotions, understand them, and trace where my pain originated. Though psychotherapy provided me with valuable lessons and tools, it didn’t lead to the healing I was looking for. There always seemed to be something missing. So, I decided to remain open to new possibilities and experiment with even the most unconventional healing methods.
